Metal and Jewelry Care

The lustrous golden bronze metal is created using a proprietary alloy in our Thailand factory. This exclusive blend of metals gives a luxurious warm glow that rivals 18K gold without the hefty price of gold. The alloy mix of copper and a small amount of tin is generally well tolerated even for those with sensitive skin. Because it is solid throughout the polished bronze will never rub off. The gleaming shine will last for years to come without tarnish.

To protect your bronze pieces, we recommend avoiding water while wearing and keeping them in an airtight bag or jewelry box. An Ecoat is applied to even further protect the metal and over. Over time a rich patina might develop adding to the character of your jewelry. If you f you want to give your bronze a cleaning to restore it to its original gleam, use a jewelry polishing cloth. For a deeper clean, mild detergent with water and a scrub brush will work.

I’ ve had a fascination with gemstone jewelry since I can remember. I used to buy faux turquoise j ewelry with my allowance as a child. In my early 20s’ , I was a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City studying fashion and merchandising since fashion is in my blood. I remember purchasing my first genuine Turquoise and Spiny oyster shell cuff I wore hugging my wrist when my mother looked at it and began telling me about my great grandmother. She was a Cherokee Indian from South Carolina. I believe she is still alive within me. I started selling gemstone and sterling silver j ewelry at festivals and opened a shop in a local flea market selling gemstone j ewelry and crystals. I began making my own jewelry. Several times I was stopped on the street by people asking me to purchase a piece I was wearing on my neck.

Turquoise always had an allure for me. I consider it sacred. I traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a work travel assignment. I made my way up to the town of Cerrillos. This old mining town is where Tiffany Jewelry Turquoise came from. The mine has since been closed. It was a spooky travel because I drove solo. It took me several hours to drive up the mountain and when I got there, all I kept thinking was I must get out of here. I managed to get a few pieces of Turquoise from the only old mining shop still standing. Traveling back down the mountain I was in heaven. I traveled the Turquoise Trail and must have stopped at
every Turquoise shop to collect some beautiful Turquoise j ewelry I still wear. You will hardly ever not find me wearing Turquoise!
