Treated turquoise such as compression, color enhancing with dyes, impregnating with varying treatment methods such as epoxy/plastic/resin, heat, fillers and other methods is what is mostly sold in today’s market. Most turquoise jewelry in today’s market is stabilized for jewelry. This includes jewelry sold by major TV shopping networks, dept stores and jewelry retailers. Even the highest grade turquoise (Sleeping Beauty Turquoise) is often stabilized for consistency in production.
